Unfriend Finder is a browser extension that allows Facebook users to find out who among your friends have deleted you in their friend’s list. The application appears to be useful, in the sense that, if it’s installed, those who are curious can actually find out who’s been unfriending them all along. It also helps you socially, making you aware when something is wrong in a particular relationship. It can also give you the chance to fix the situation. Developed by Edouard Gatouillat, Unfriend Finder is compatible with Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Opera and Safari. It installs automatically on Chrome but the folks who use Firefox will have to add-on Greasemonkey before installing it.
This script, called Unfriend Finder, is a browser extension that has answered the prayers of many Facebook users. Currently, the script has already been downloaded 44 million times from the moment that it was launched. Once downloaded, the Unfriend Finder will attach itself to a particular Facebook profile and will automatically display those who have deleted a user from a particular friends list. It will also enable you to view those who rejected your friend requests and those who recently deactivated their accounts. This application is not beneficial to the user’s good social disposal, because “it makes you feel like hell” as you realize that “your online popularity” is decreasing, writes the Gawker.
However, by accessing the program, those interested can test their affinities. If you haven’t noticed that someone has deleted you from their list of friends, then you can consider yourself lucky for being well-loved by your friends. Well, at least no one hates you or has a grudge against you. But if ever you are drawn in by a black hole of refusals, maybe it’s time to think that something is wrong. But perhaps you would agree that rejections are not enough reasons to be down and desperate, after all everyone is unique and you just can’t please everybody. But all in all, it’s a fun and a very useful app – in a social sense.
